Miss Aile Trumm

Biography

Aile Trumm is a research assistant specialising in mental health, forensic psychology, and health inequalities research. She holds an MSc in Health Research Methods from The University of Birmingham, where she completed a systematic review on the effectiveness of hypnotherapy in anxiety disorders. She also earned a BSc in Psychology and Criminology from Buckinghamshire New University.

Throughout her career, Aile has worked in academic, clinical, and forensic psychiatric settings, contributing to various NIHR-funded projects, clinical trials, and mixed-methods research. Her expertise includes qualitative and quantitative research, systematic reviews, and clinical trial evaluations. She has conducted research across multiple NHS Trusts, psychiatric hospitals, and universities, with a strong focus on equality, diversity, and patient well-being.

Aile has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and has presented her research at national and international conferences. Alongside her research roles, she has worked as an academic teacher for the Brilliant Club Charity.

Her additional experience in equality and diversity includes serving as a student representative for the University of Brighton Athena Swan submission and advocating for gender equality and mental health awareness.
